The Tustin Acers
Our team, named the Tustin Acers, plays in the South Moonlighters division of the Sundowners League.
The Sundowners is a women’s competitive league, which has teams from tennis clubs throughout Orange County. Teams play each other at home and away. Levels are Moonlighters: 3.0 to 4.0 and Evening Stars 4.0-5.0. There are North and South in each division.
Our club has had a women’s Sundowners’ league team for over 25 years. Many of our current members have been a captain or a team member at one time.
Teams we play are Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa and others. We play doubles and singles for each level. There are awards for the winners at the end of the year. This year we have about 25 team members and a new captain, Weimin Sun. Co-captain is Chris Andres.
We have many new members of the club who will be on the team. We hope we can represent the Tustin Tennis Club well this year and end the season with an award. Weimin Sun – Captain, Chris Andres- Co-Captain.
